How do I convert JPG or JPEG to WebP?

Choose one or more JPG or JPEG images, select WebP as the output format, adjust quality or maximum dimensions if needed, and start the local conversion. The images are not uploaded.

How do I convert PNG to WebP without uploading it?

Choose the PNG file and select WebP as the output format. Conversion runs in your browser on your device. Transparent pixels can remain transparent in WebP output.

Can I convert WebP to JPG or PNG?

Yes. Choose a WebP image as input and select JPG/JPEG or PNG as the output. When converting to JPEG, transparent areas are flattened onto a white background.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Image decoding, resizing and conversion happen locally in your browser. The converter does not upload your selected image files.

Which image formats can I convert?

The tool accepts JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP. AVIF input also works when the browser can decode AVIF. Output is WebP, JPG/JPEG or PNG when supported by the browser.

What happens to EXIF, GPS metadata and transparency?
